Settlement Health Privacy Policy

By accessing our site: www.settlementhealth.org, you agree that you have read and understand the Settlement Health and Medical Services, Inc. (Settlement Health, we, our, us, etc.) Privacy Policy (Policy) which describes how we use your personal information, and what options you have to update or request the deletion of information submitted to us.

Information We Collect

Settlement Health may collect both Usage Data and Personally Identifiable Information via this site. Usage Data is information that describes the habits and other behavioral traits of the users of the site as a group but does not indicate the identity of a particular user. Settlement Health tracks the number of users accessing the site via a counter that monitors the IP addresses of our visitors. Settlement Health does not retain Usage Data and uses it only to track the number of unique visitors to our site.

Settlement Health does not want to collect Personal Information from minors (children under 13 years of age, or any other age defined under applicable law). If we become aware that a minor is attempting to or has submitted Personal Information via this Site, we will notify the user that we may not accept his or her Personal Information. We will then delete any such Personal Information from our records.

In addition, if you choose to make a donation to Settlement Health, whether by postal mail, or this web site, we will collect certain required financial information from you. Online donations are processed by a third party service provider and you should read the section below entitled “Links and Third Party Web Sites” and familiarize yourself with the privacy terms of all non-Settlement Health sites. Unless you provide it to us voluntarily, Settlement Health does not collect Personally Identifiable Information about you in connection with your use of our site.

Visitors to our site may request general information from Settlement Health by sending an email to info@settlementhealth.org, in which case an e-mail or other address may be required in order to allow us to comply with the request, and for other purposes as may be disclosed at the time the request is made.

Visitors may submit an online donation in which case information will be submitted to our third party provider. You should familiarize yourself with the privacy policies of our third party service providers for information on how they use your information.

Individuals interested in volunteering or joining our team may also submit information and/or a resume in which case an e-mail or other address may be required in order to allow us to follow-up with the particular submission.

How We Use the Information Submitted

We will use the Personally Identifiable Information you submit to:

  • send you materials that you have requested
  • send employment opportunities that may be of interest to you
  • process donations
  • otherwise described in this Policy.

Settlement Health responds to subpoenas, court orders, and other legal processes. Settlement Health may disclose information about its users to law enforcement officers or others when we believe it is necessary in order to protect the rights, privacy, or personal safety of Settlement Health clients or the public.

This site includes links to both our affiliated sites and to non-affiliated sites, including access to content, products and services of such affiliated and non-affiliated sites (Other Sites). In some cases, these Other Sites are made available via “framing technology”, and may appear to be part of our site. How to Request Changes or Opt-Out of Future Communications

If you would like to opt-out of future communication you may also ask us to remove your name and other personal information from our database, in which case we will make all reasonable efforts to do so subject to legal and other considerations. Changes to this Policy

We will post any material changes to this Policy at least thirty days (30) prior to the changes taking effect. After the changes take effect, all current and new information will be subject to the terms of the revised Policy.
